Love this quote! The problem is, sometimes a grateful mindset isn’t quite so automatic. In fact, many of us have gotten into the habit of holding a cynical, doubtful, pessimistic mindset more often than a grateful or appreciative one.
No matter what happens in your life, you have the power to choose your mindset – did you know that? Today I was reminded yet again that when something seemingly “bad” happens, our perception of it doesn’t necessarily have to BE bad.
We can choose to see it as a blessing in disguise, and the true gift hasn’t yet appeared. We can choose to see it as a powerful learning experience and be grateful for the lesson. We can choose to see it as a giant cosmic joke and enjoy a good laugh about it.
I am so appreciative that I have learned how to control my thoughts and choose what I wish to focus on. I see people all around me who constantly complain about everything in their lives. They complain about not having enough money. They complain about heavy traffic. They complain about other people. Complain about their jobs. Complain about physical ailments and illnesses and aches and pains. They complain about . . . everything!
I understand this complaining attitude because I used to have one too.
